Interest Rate

• Fixed rate of interest.
• Paid and compounded monthly.
• Balance Computation Method:  The daily balance method applies a periodic rate to the collected balance in the account each day.
• Accrual on Non-cash Deposits:  Interest begins to accrue on the business        day you deposit non-cash items (for example, checks).
• At the customer’s discretion, interest may be credited to the CD, paid by check or transferred to another Amegy account.
• If the account is closed before interest is paid, accrued interest will be forfeited.

Terms

• 3-month, 6-month and 1-year terms available

Renewal

• CDs are automatically renewed at maturity, unless special terms have been agreed upon at the time the account is established.
• The grace period for automatically renewing certificates is 10 calendar days after the maturity date. 
• Changes to the term may be made during the grace period.
• A notice of maturity will be mailed 10 days prior to the maturity date.
• The renewal interest rate and annual percentage yield will be those prevailing at the time of maturity for certificates of deposit with like duration and amount.

Deposits/Withdrawals

• You may not make any deposits into your account before maturity.
• Original maturity 30 days to 1 year:      we may impose a penalty equal to 30 days interest.
