The goal of Amegy Bank of Texas is to contribute to the communities we serve by targeting our charitable giving and volunteerism toward nonprofit groups that produce positive results locally. We make a commitment to the people of Texas to be the leader in Texas banking, and we believe this also means committing to be a leading corporate citizen.
Each year, Amegy donates more than $1 million as part of its mission to support the communities where we do business. These contributions benefit a wide variety of organizations in the areas of education, community development, arts, diversity, health and human services, affordable housing, economic development and city livability.
Additionally, Amegy organizes an internal bankwide United Way campaign encouraging employee participation through fundraising activities which produce outstanding results each year.
At Amegy, our employees find immense pride in donating their personal time and effort to charitable projects. Our employees, many of which are leaders in the community, volunteer thousands of hours each year for charitable causes. Through the employee volunteer program, Amegy Cares, employees are given the opportunity to volunteer in the community during business hours at the nonprofit organization of their choice. Amegy regularly coordinates volunteer opportunities for employees and family members including food drives, blood drives, home repair projects, community volunteer days, financial literacy education events and more.
