Amegy Bank of Texas has long been a proud corporate sponsor and has taken a leadership role in the annual TEXPO Conference. Every year the Bank has a booth in the Exhibit Hall where clients and prospective clients can visit with Amegy’s Treasury Management Bankers in order to gain insights into treasury solutions.
TEXPO 2016, held April 17-19, was sponsored by the Fort Worth Treasury Management Association (FWTMA) at the downtown Fort Worth Convention Center. The FWTMA did an outstanding job in planning and executing the three day conference.
The annual TEXPO Treasury Management Conference is sponsored each year by one of five Texas Treasury Management Associations: Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Austin, and Dallas. Attendees are made up of individuals from companies and corporations who use treasury products; financial institutions who provide banking, treasury, and investment solutions; and other corporations who supply software products to companies.
The goal of the conference, through a series of seminars and exhibits, is to educate attendees with the latest information covering a wide variety of topics including cash management, foreign exchange, fraud, investments, accounting rules, and many others.
Amegy Bank has had a number of presenters during the educational sessions. This year Christine Kohut and Chelsea Reeder presented TEXPO University - Graduating to Future Concepts in Accounts Payable, and Aleks Heckner and Russ Root delivered a presentation, It’s a Small World After All – Your Fast Pass to Foreign Exchange.
TEXPO 2017 will be hosted by the Austin Association of Financial Professionals April 2-4, 2017. We hope to see you there!

In May, Amegy Bank hosted its annual Commercial Card User Conference. The focus of this year’s conference was CONNECT – SHARE – GROW.
The conferences were well attended by clients in the Houston, Dallas and San Antonio areas. Brian Balmer, Senior Account Executive, with Visa was the keynote speaker at the conferences. Brian discussed the latest commercial payment trends including payment automation, buyer and supplier perspectives and supplier enablement.
In addition to the keynote speaker, a client panel consisting of program administrators from various companies discussed how their companies utilize card programs. The dialogue and information shared amongst the attendees was invaluable. The clients discussed their different experiences, process improvements, and ways to increase revenue share earnings.

Mary Murray, Executive Director, Corporate Services with Amegy Bank, ended the conferences discussing anti-fraud best practices and preventive measures to help combat fraud.

Amegy Bank Treasury Management is excited to announce the rollout of our new Anytime Deposits® Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (mRDC) application. With mRDC, you use your Apple® or Android™ device to take pictures of checks for deposit to your account.
This new mobile app greatly enhances our Anytime Deposits® remote deposit capture product used by many of our clients to avoid costly trips to the bank. The mRDC app provides a flexible option to equip you with a tool to submit deposits to company accounts without requiring access to a PC or a scanning device.
If your business model includes company reps who are on the road visiting customers and closing sales or providing services, imagine being able to deposit check payments minutes after receiving them from your customers, without returning to the office or going to a banking center to deposit.
Expediting the deposit of checks allows entry into the collection stream sooner, providing opportunity for improving cash flow, available funds, and knowledge of uncollectible items sooner than you normally would.
Our Anytime Deposits Mobile app is convenient and easy to use, requiring just four simple steps to submit a deposit.
Select your account.
Enter the amount.
Take a picture of the front and back of the check.
Click on "Submit."
The app is compatible with existing, popular Apple® and Android™ mobile devices and operating systems.
You have access to deposit history for checks you deposit using your mobile device. The History screen lists each deposit and the status of the deposit so you know whether the deposit is In Process, Completed, or Rejected.
Because the mobile app is integrated with our current RDC platform, any reports you currently generate via the Web Client and Server Side Reporting will include all mobile deposits along with deposits submitted via the traditional desktop scanner device.
When it comes to security, our Anytime Deposits Mobile process uses multi-factor authentication and encrypted databases to help protect sensitive data, and no data is stored locally on the mobile device. We suggest using the same controls around protecting original checks regardless of the method used to capture the deposit. This is an important measure to avoid depositing a check multiple times. As an added layer of protection, our systems are capable of detecting duplicate checks being deposited.
Company representatives may use their own personal mobile device or a company-owned device. The mobile app is available to download from Apple iTunes or Google Play free of charge. To use the app, simply provide us certain information about the representatives authorized to use the app and the account numbers to which they should have access. Upon completion of the documentation and set up, each company representative will receive an email providing unique activation information. To activate, they will download the app, accept the end user agreement, and create their own PIN to use for each deposit.
Over 5,000 associates at one company have adopted the Anytime Deposits Mobile app, and their feedback has been extremely positive. They recognize the value in the faster access to funds since payments are no longer routed to their operations center. In their business model, this results in decreased “Days Sales Outstanding” by two to three days.
