Early Career Development
Summer Internships at Amegy Bank
Every year, we hire rising senior undergraduate and graduate students for our Summer Internship Program. Summer internships begin on the second Monday in June and conclude on the first Friday in August. All internships are full-time, paid opportunities located in our Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio corporate offices.
Amegy Bank’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide college students with an opportunity to gain knowledge, experience, and exposure in the banking industry. It gives students the chance to experience hands-on work as a member of one of our core lending departments. Interns also enjoy networking opportunities and presentations from company leaders. From engaging in special projects to collaborating with executives, students will leave with a sense of energy and excitement about the banking and technology industry.
Banker Development Program
Being a great banker requires a well-rounded understanding of our business. Our Banker Development Program ensures the future leaders of our organization receive both knowledge and experience across the bank. Plus, they gain valuable mentoring from the bank’s current leadership team.
Developing Future Leaders of the Bank
The Amegy Bank Banker Development Program is a key part of our company’s strategy to educate, develop, and retain the next generation of commercial lenders and credit professionals. This program is tailored to recent college graduates aspiring to enter the banking industry and refine their skills.
Program Overview
The Banker Development Program offers:
- Exposure to vast career opportunities at Amegy Bank
- Solid foundation in the basics of banking
- Defined career path that begins with classroom training as Credit Analyst and evolves into a Relationship Manager or Portfolio Manager role
- One-on-one working relationships with high-level bank decision makers
- Opportunity to apply finance and accounting skills to credit and business risk analysis
Upon completion of the program, participants will be considered for permanent internal positions, such as assistant relationship officers, relationship managers, portfolio managers, and more.
